Belief in the Day of Judgment

Our Lord! You art He that will gather mankind together against a Day about which there is no doubt; for Allah never fails in His promise. (Qur’an 3:9)

On the Day when every soul will be confronted with all the good it has done, and all the evil it has done…(Qur’an 3:30)

Muslims believe in eternal life after death.

On the Day of Resurrection each human will be held accountable in front of Allah for his/her actions, thoughts, deeds and intentions in the worldly life. Allah will judge the person with absolute justice. A person will then be sent to either Paradise or Hellfire.

Each individual will be held solely responsible for his or her own record of deeds.

Constant remembrance of the Day of Judgment has a profound effect on the Muslim. He feels that his life is not mere amusement, but a solemn undertaking with eternal consequences.

Muslims believe that results on the Day of Judgment will be absolutely logical and just. Allah's true mercy and justice will dictate that tyrants who escaped punishment in this life, and good people who endured hardship in this life, will be duly and equitably punished or rewarded in the Hereafter.
