Save Eid Stamp!

As-Salaamu Alaikum, 

Certain anti-Muslim groups have started a campaign asking their supporters to go to their local post office branches and object to the re-issuing of the Eid Stamp. A number of factors go into making a decision to re-issue a stamp. One important factor is the popularity of the stamp in question.

We request that you go to your local post office prior to January 22, 2012 and purchase the Forever Eid Stamp. The Forever Eid Stamp can be used for first class mail and can be used despite price changes. Note that on Jan 22 the cost of postage is set to increase, so if you buy Eid Stamps in bulk you can save money on the long run.  And if you can afford it, why not buy Eid stamps for friends, co-workers, and family as a gift? Eid Mubarak!

 

Salaam u alaikum,

The moon has been sighted in Mecca as well as many other countries, and Eid will take place tomorrow, August 30th.

The Takbeer will begin at 7:00am, followed by a presentation at 8:45am.

Eid Prayers will begin at 9:15am.

 

Parking:

Parking will be available at the worcester islamic center for those planning on arriving early and staying for a while after prayers are over. Additional parking will be available at the Fedex upper parking lot, the Salem covenant church parking lot, and the Clark Street School. In addition, people are allowed to park on both sides of clark street if needed.

Cars parked illegally may be ticketed and/or towed by the sole discretion of the town officers. This includes individuals who park in handicapped spots without handicapped stickers or licenses.
