Ibn Masood (RA) narrated that Prophet(PBUH) said, "Whoever reads one letter of the Book of Allah is credited with one blessing and one blessing is equal to tenfold the like thereof in its reward." Also, Uthmaan (RA) narrated that the Prophet (PBUH) said:"The best of you are the ones who learn the Qur'an and teaches it to others..."

Worcester Islamic Center (WIC)'s Qur'an Class and Hifdh Program is led by Hafiz Shahbaz Raja, our part-time Imam and Qur'an Instructor/Teacher, alhamdulillah.
About Hafiz Shahbaz Raja:
Hafiz Shahbaz Raja memorized Noble Qur'an by the age of 12 at Kotli Azad Kashmir Pakistan and began leading 20 Rakat Taraweeh when he was 14 years old. He has taught Qur'an to hundreds of students including 9 Huffaz. Having served as an Imam since 2003 (including Jummah and Eid), Hafiz Shahbaz Raja graduated from North Smithfield High School and Bachelor of Science from Rhode Island College.

"Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth. The example of His light is like a niche within which is a lamp, the lamp is within glass, the glass as if it were a pearly [white] star lit from [the oil of] a blessed olive tree, neither of the east nor of the west, whose oil would almost glow even if untouched by fire. Light upon light. Allah guides to His light whom He wills. And Allah presents examples for the people, and Allah is Knowing of all things."
