--FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE ---- From the Worcester Islamic Center (WIC) and Islamic Society of Greater Worcester (ISGW)
8/4/2019
The Islamic Centers in the Greater Worcester area (WIC and ISGW) condemn the shooting in El Paso Texas, Dayton, Ohio and Gilroy, California.
The members of the Worcester Islamic Center (WIC) and ISGW condemn in the strongest possible terms the deadly shooting in Texas, Ohio and California, that left more than 30 dead and scores injured. These shootings took place recently within a week. The Federal authorities announced that they have launched a domestic terrorism investigation into the attack in Gilroy, California. John Bash, U.S.Attorney for the Western District of Texas said that Federal Prosecutors are investigating the El Paso shooting as a hate crime and act of domestic terrorism and plan to seek the death penalty.
We condemn this 'White Supremacy' criminal mindset that have openly waged a war.
There is no place for this bigoted destructive mindset in our society that is destroying the very fabric that weaves peaceful co-existence.
We pray for the victims and their families.
